長崎市 | Nagasaki City

長崎とオランダは古くから密接な関係を結んできました。1641年から1859年まで、長崎の出島は、オランダの貿易拠点として日本でオランダ人が唯一出入りを許可された場所だったからです。長崎市は1978年10月、オランダ、ミデルブルフ市と姉妹都市提携を結びました。日本に向かうオランダ東インド会社の船がミデルブルフ市から出帆したことがこの提携関係を築くきっかけとなりました。 | The City of Nagasaki has important historical ties with the Netherlands, because of the unique Dutch presence on Dejima, which served as the Dutch trading post from 1641 until 1859. The city concluded a sister city agreement with Middelburg on 17 October 1978. The relationship derives from the fact that VOC ships headed for Japan, usually set sail from Middelburg. Nagasaki city and Leiden city concluded the friendship agreement on 25th of November 2017.

平戸市 | Hirado City

平戸市は、1609年に江戸幕府によって正式に交易が認められた後に、日本で初めてオランダ東インド会社の拠点が設けられたところです。平戸市はサッカーの試合などを通じて、オランダ、ノードウィーケルフート市との間で青少年の交流を進めています。2011年9月18日には、平戸オランダ商館復元の一般公開に先立ち、両都市が友好協定に調印しました。また2000年以降、平戸市は、芸術に焦点を合わせ、人々のコミュニケーションの橋渡しをすることを目指した文化交流事業、「12xおらんだ」を主宰しています。 | Hirado is the location of the first VOC settlement in Japan after receiving official permission from the Shogunate to trade in 1609.The city hosts a youth exchange with the city of Noordwijkerhout, which includes a football match. On 18 September 2011 the cities signed a friendship agreement during the opening of the rebuilt VOC trading house. Since 2000, Hirado is also the host of the 12xHolland project, an intercultural exchange project focused on art that serves as a bridge between people.

ひらの会 | Hira no Kai

年に一度の按針忌の主催を主な活動とする、平戸の国際交流協会です。日系蘭印人の子孫「ＪＩＮ」と「桜の会」の訪問団を受け入れるなどの活動もしてます。 | International Relations Association that among others organizes the yearly William Adams Commemoration. They also welcome the yearly visits of Japanese Dutch-Indian descendant’s organisations JIN and Sakura from the Netherlands.

長崎大学 | Nagasaki University

1857年にオランダ軍医ポンペ・ファン・メールデルフォールトが設立した医学伝習所が、長崎大学の始まりです。長崎大学は日本最古の医学校であることを誇りにしています。2007年11月には、多くのライデン大学関係者を招いて長崎大学創立150周年記念式典が行われました。ふたつの大学は密接な関係を築いており、交流プログラムが設けられています。その一環として、2007年10月には長崎大学でオランダ学の講義が開講されました。 | Established in 1857 by the Dutch army doctor Pompe van Meerdervoort as a medical school, Nagasaki University can take pride in being the university with the oldest medical school in Japan.The 150th anniversary was celebrated in November 2007 and many invitees from Leiden University attended this event. The relationship between Nagasaki University and Leiden University is close. There is an exchange program between the universities and in October 2007 a course of Dutch Studies was initiated at Nagasaki University.

長崎県 | Nagasaki Prefecture

長崎県とオランダ、ゼーラント州（南西オランダ）は、日蘭交流400周年にあたる2000年に友好協定を締結しました。 | Nagasaki Prefecture and the Province of Zeeland (South West Netherlands) signed a friendship agreement in 2000 on the occasion of the 400 years exchange Japan-Netherlands commemoration.

長崎県立大学 | University of Nagasaki

長崎県立大学は、2008年に県立長崎シーボルト大学と長崎県立大学が統合し、新たに誕生した大学です。県立長崎シーボルト大学は、日本で初めて外国人の名前を冠した国公立大学として1999年4月に開学しました。現在長崎県立大学のシーボルト校としてその名が残されています。 | The University of Nagasaki, which is the prefectural university, was established in 2008 through a merger of the Siebold University of Nagasaki and the Nagasaki Prefectural University. The Siebold University of Nagasaki was founded in April 1999 as the first national and/or public university in Japan to be named after a foreign national. There still is a Siebold Campus at the newly formed university.

松浦史料博物館 | Matsura Historical Museum

平戸藩主松浦家の私邸を史料博物館としたものです。この博物館では、平戸市と松浦家の歴史を概観することができます。平戸にオランダ商館があった当時、松浦家はオランダと深い関わりをもっていました。博物館には平戸におけるオランダゆかりのさまざまな資料が収蔵されています。 | Originally the residence of the Matsura family, the rulers of Hirado, the museum provides an overview of the history of Hirado and the family. The family had close ties with the Dutch, when the trading post was still in Hirado. The museum possesses a broad variety of items connected to the Dutch presence in Hirado.

長崎大学附属図書館 | Nagasaki University Library

長崎大学附属図書館には、養生所（長崎大学医学部の前身）の教頭であったオランダ人のボードインとその弟が撮影した幕末、明治初期の稀少な古写真コレクションが収蔵されています。これらのコレクションはライデン大学印刷室に所蔵されていましたが、ボードインの子孫により2008年に同図書館に寄贈されました。古写真コレクションは電子化され、同図書館のウェブサイトで無料公開されています。 | The Nagasaki University library holds a rare collection of photographs taken in the Bakumatsu and early Meiji Period many of which were taken by the Dutch brothers Bauduin. Originally the photos were kept at the Prentenkabinet of Leiden but the heirs of the Bauduin decided to donate the collection to Nagasaki University in 2008. The photographs have been digitalized and are freely available on the website of the library.

弥富市 | Yatomi City

弥富町は、2005年愛知万博における「一市町村一国フレンドシップ事業」で、オランダのホームタウンに指定されました。2006年の合併により、同町は弥富市になりました。 | Yatomi Town was appointed as the friendship city for The Netherlands during the 2005 Aichi World Expo. The town merged into Yatomi City in 2006.

オランダ総領事館 | Consulate General of the Netherlands

オランダ総領事館は、海外で生活したり、海外旅行をするオランダ人の利益向上と支援を行うという役割を担っています。また経済協力や、報道、文化事業にも積極的に携わっています。これらの事業は、東京のオランダ王国大使館との密接な協力の下で実施されています。 | The Consulate General promotes Dutch interests and assists Dutch nationals living or traveling abroad. The Consulate General is also active in the areas of economic cooperation and press and cultural affairs. This is done in close co-operation with the Embassy in Tokyo.

大阪大学 | Osaka University

"大阪大学の歴史は、オランダと密接に関係しています。現在、大阪大学はオランダのいくつかの大学、中でもグローニンゲン大学と密接な交流関係を維持しています。これは、大阪大学がグローニンゲンに海外拠点（大阪大学グローニンゲン教育研究センター）を設けていることからも明らかです。 | The history of Osaka University is closely connected to the Netherlands. Nowadays Osaka University maintains close relationships with Dutch Universities, especially the University of Groningen. This is, among others, underscored by the fact that Osaka University has its overseas center established in Groningen.

津山洋学資料館 | Tsuyama Archives of Western Learning

津山洋学資料館は、主に蘭学に関する5,000冊以上の書籍、文書を収蔵しています。津山洋学資料館は2010年3月19日にリニューアルオープンしました。それと同時に、オランダ、ライデン市の博物館、シーボルトハウスと友好提携を結びました。 | The Tsuyama Archives of Western Learning contain over 5000 books and other writings, mainly related to 'rangaku' (Dutch Studies). On 19 March 2010 an official opening for the new building was held, on which also a cooperation agreement was signed between the Tsuyama Archives of Western Learning and the SieboldHuis

開陽丸友の会 | Kaiyo Maru Friendship Association

日本の軍艦開陽丸を愛する人々の会です。開陽丸はオランダ、ドルドレヒトで建造され、1867年に日本に到着しました。開陽丸は1868年に、暴風雪のため江差沖で座礁しました。 | An association for people with a love for the Japanese battleship Kaiyo Maru. The ship was built in Dordrecht and arrived in Japan in 1867. It sank in a storm in 1868 near Esashi.

最上徳内記念館 | Mogami Tokunai Memorial Hall

日本北方を探検し、地図を作成した、最上徳内の記念館です。書籍・測量器・北方の地図などさまざまな資料が展示されています。徳内はシーボルトと親交を持ち、アイヌ語の共同編纂を行いました。 | Memorial Hall for Mogami Tokunai, the cartographer who explored and mapped the Northern parts of Japan. Tokunai was a close friend of Siebold whom he studied the Ainu language with. Various items, such as books, equipment and maps, are displayed here.

順天堂大学 | Juntendo University

順天堂大学は、1838年に佐藤泰然が開いた医学私塾「和田塾」がその起こりです。佐倉市に移転後、佐倉順天堂に改名されました。泰然は長崎で3年間蘭学を学びました。佐藤泰然は様々ななオランダの医療革新を日本に紹介しました。| "University founded under the name ''Wadajuku" by Taizen Sato as a private medical school in 1838 but upon his relocation to Sakura City he changed the name to Juntendo University. Taizen had studied Dutch Studies (rangaku) for 3 years in Nagasaki. He went on to introduce Dutch medical innovations to Japan.

佐倉順天堂記念館 | Sakura Juntendo Memorial Hall

蘭学者佐藤泰然がその蘭医学塾「佐倉順天堂」を開いた建物です。一部を記念館として公開しています。| Originally the building where Taizen Sato, student of Dutch Studies, started his medical school, Juntendo. Part of the building has been opened to the public as a memorial hall.

佐倉高等学校 | Sakura High School

県立佐倉高等学校には、蘭学者佐藤泰然の塾生らが用いた文書を保管している資料館があります。1843年、佐倉藩主堀田正睦の招聘により、泰然は佐倉市に医学塾を開きました。 | Sakura High School has a small museum where documents, which were used by students of Dutch studies taught by Taizen Sato, are preserved. He established a medical school in Sakura in 1843 on the request of the then feudal lord of the Sakura domain Masayoshi Hotta.

国立歴史民俗博物館 | National Museum of Japanese History

国立歴史民俗博物館は、日本の歴史にかかわる200,000点を超える資料を収蔵・展示しています。この博物館は、オランダをはじめとする国際社会と近世日本との関係など、テーマ毎にいくつかの展示室に分けて総合展示を行っています。2010年、主にシーボルトが収集した、海外に存在する日本関連資料の調査研究が始められました。| The National Museum of Japanese History houses and displays over 200,000 items related to Japanese history. The museum is divided into several permanent exhibitions, each with its own theme, including Tokugawa Japan and its relations with the international communities such as the Dutch.In 2010, a project started to research overseas materials related to Japan of which many were collected by Siebold.

咸臨丸子孫の会 | The Society of the Kanrin-maru Crew Descendants

咸臨丸子孫の会は、1994年に発足し、咸臨丸の乗組員の子孫や関係者が親睦をはかるとともに、咸臨丸の史実を伝えていくことを目的としています。この地図上のスポットは、幕末に幕府の軍艦操練所があった咸臨丸子孫の会は、1994年に発足し、咸臨丸の乗組員の子孫や関係者が親睦をはかるとともに、咸臨丸の史実を伝えていくことを目的としています。この地図上のスポットは、幕末に幕府の軍艦操練所があった咸臨丸ゆかりの地です。 | The Society of the Kanrin-maru Crew Descendants was founded in 1994. The society maintains a network of descendants whose ancestors were involved with the ship the Kanrin-maru and aims to promote the research of the historical significance of the ship. The location of the society on this map was chosen, because there used to be a naval training facility of the then Japanese government and it was connected to the Kanrin-maru.

開陽丸子孫の会 | The Kaiyomaru Descendants Association

オランダで建造された開陽丸の乗組員の子孫と開陽丸に縁の深い人々の会で、2007年に発足しました。現在の会長は、数年間オランダに住んでいた榎本武揚という侍の曾孫です。| Association for descendants of the crewmembers and for people who have a strong link with the Kaiyomaru ship, which was built in the Netherlands. It was founded in 2007 and the current chairman is the great-grandchild of Enomoto Takeaki, who had studied in the Netherlands for several years and spoke both Dutch and English.

国会図書館電子提示会 | Diet Library Digital Exhibition

国立国会図書館は、同館のサイト上で江戸時代の日蘭交流に関する所蔵資料の電子展示会を始めました。この展示会はオランダ王立図書館の協力を得て、日蘭通商400周年にあたる2009年に実現しました。| At the Diet library, there is a digital exhibition concerning source materials about the exchange between Japan and the Netherlands in the Edo period. This exhibition was made in 2009 on the occasion of the 400 years of trade relations in cooperation with the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (Royal Library of the Netherlands).

オランダ王国大使館 | Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

オランダ王国大使館は、オランダの目、耳、声の役割を果たしています。オランダ王国大使館は、海外に生活、または旅行するオランダ人の利益向上と支援という役割を担っています。また開発協力や、報道、文化事業にも積極的に携わっています。| The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is the eyes, ears, and voice of the Netherlands. The Embassy promotes Dutch interests and assist Dutch nationals living or travelling abroad. The Embassy is also active in development cooperation and press and cultural affairs.

慶應義塾大学 | Keio University

1858年、蘭学者の福沢諭吉により、慶應義塾大学の前身である蘭学塾が創設されました。福沢諭吉がオランダ語を教えていたこの蘭学塾は、1868年に「慶應義塾」に改称しました。福沢諭吉は日本の近代化に重要な役割を果たした人物で、現在でも10,000円札の肖像に使用されています。| The predecessor of Keio University was founded in 1858 by Fukuzawa Yukichi, a scholar of Dutch studies, as a school for Western Studies. Fukuzawa taught Dutch at the institution, which changed its name to Keio Gijuku in 1868. Fukuzawa would play an important role for the modernization of Japan and can still be found on the 10.000 yen bill.

武雄市歴史資料館 | Takeo City Library and Historical Museum

蘭学関連資料を所蔵する資料館です。蘭学研究に関する書籍、文書類、その他の資料（ガラス、地球儀など）が収蔵されています。| Museum that focuses on Rangaku (Dutch studies). The collection includes many books, documents and other objects related to this field.

静岡県立中央図書館 | Shizuoka Prefectural Central Library

静岡県立図書館の葵文庫には、徳川幕府が所有していた蘭学に関する書物が保存されています。| Books, that originally belonged to the Tokugawa shogunate, on Dutch studies form the core of the Shizuoka Prefectural Library's Aoi Collection.
