長崎歴史文化博物館 | Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture

長崎県と長崎市の緊密な協力が実り、2005年11月に長崎歴史文化博物館が開館しました。この博物館は、長崎とオランダの友好関係を含む長崎の歴史を来館者の関心を惹く切り口で紹介しています。また、オランダ、ライデンの国立民族学博物館とも密接な協力関係を築いています。| The result of close cooperation between Nagasaki City and Nagasaki Prefecture, the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture opened its doors in November 2005. The museum provides its visitors with an interesting view on Nagasaki's history, including of course the relation with the Netherlands. Moreover, it maintains a close cooperation with Rijksmuseum Volkenkunde in Leiden.

平和公園 | Nagasaki Peace Park

長崎平和公園は、長崎に原爆が投下された1945年8月9日を記念して造られた公園です。長崎市の姉妹都市、ミデルブルフ市から寄贈されたペーター・ドゥ・ヨン作「未来の世代を守る像 」など、多くの「平和の象徴」がこの公園に贈られています。| The Nagasaki Peace Park was estbalished in commemoration of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. Many 'Peace Symbols' have been donated to the park, including the 'Protection of Our Future', by Peter de Jong, which was a donation from Nagasaki's sister city Middelburg.

白い帽子をかぶってる農民の女性 | Head of Peasant Woman with White Cap

「白い帽子をかぶってる農民の女性」は1885年,ヌエネン（オランダ）に描かれたフィンセント・ファン・ゴッホの絵画です。現在廿日市市にある「ウッドワン」美術館に展示されています。| Head of a Peasant Woman with White Cap is painted in Nuenen by Vincent van Gogh in 1885. Currently it is located at the Woodone-Museum in Yoshiwa. The fact that this painting is a portrait of a middle class woman was rare for that time. Usually only people of higher class were painted, because they were able to afford it.

ドービニーの庭 | Daubigny's Garden

"1890年、フィンセント・ファン・ゴッホ作。1890年7月の死の前最後に描かれた絵画です。ゴッフに尊敬されたシャルル＝フランソワ・ドービニーという画家の未亡人が住んでいた家の庭を描いたもの。この絵画は、同名同構図の作品が2点あることが認められています。今広島美術館にある絵画は最後のバージョンです。 | Painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1890. It was probably the last painting made by Van Gogh before his death in July the same year. It depicts a garden which was owned by Daubigny, a painter whom Van Gogh admired. The painting in Hiroshima Museum is the latest version. The other version, with similar colors and composition but without the black cat, is on loan to the Kunstmuseum Basel in Switzerland.

豊田市美術館 | Toyota Municipal Museum of Art

豊田市美術館はモーリッツ・コルネリス・エッシャーとヘンドリクス・テオドルス・ヴェイデフェルトのリトグラフや、ヘリット・トーマス・リートフェルトのアームチェアを収蔵しています。| The Toyota Municipal Museum of Art has in its collection lithographs by Maurits Cornelis Escher and Hendrikus Theodorus Wijdeveld and also an armchair by Gerrit Rietveld.

一日の終り（ミレーによる）& 石膏トルソ（女）| End of the Day (after Millet) & Plaster Statuette of a Female Torso

1889年、フィンセント・ファン・ゴッホ作. 現在、小牧市のメナード美術館で提示されています。| The 'End of the Day (after Milet)' was painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1889, in Saint-Marie de Province in France. The 'Plaster Statuette of a Female Torso was painted by him in 1887-88. They are currently on display in the Menard Art Museum in Komaki.

本田圭佑クライフコート | Honda Keisuke Cruyff Court

ヨハン・クライフ財団の寄付による12歳以下の少年用サッカーコート、「本田圭佑クライフコート」が2011年、金沢市に完成しました。これはオランダにあるフェンロという町のVVVフェンロの2部リーグ優勝に貢献した本田圭佑選手の活躍を讃えるものです。本田選手は高校生時代、金沢市でプレーしていました。| A Cruyff Court opened in 2011 for children under the age of 12 in Kanazawa. The court was dedicated to Honda Keisuke, who helped VVV Venlo, a local Dutch soccer team, to the Jupiler League title. In his youth, Honda played for a high school in Kanazawa.

耕す人 | Man Stooping with Stick or Spade

「耕す人」1882年、フィンセント・ファン・ゴッホ作。個人蔵（和泉市久保惣記念美術館寄託）| Man Stooping with Stick or Spade. Painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1882. Currently displayed at the Kuboso Memorial Museum of Arts, Izumi on an extended loan from a private collection.

ゆめ風車 | Windmill 'Yume'

周南市の永源山公園にはオランダをテーマにした区画があります。1994年、そこにデルフザイル市にあるエオリスの風車をモデルにした「ゆめ風車」が建設されました。| The Eigenzan park in Shunan has a section with a Dutch theme. There, one can find a replica of the Dutch windmill 'Aeolus', from the city of Delfzijl in Holland. It is called Yume" and was built in 1994."

CCA北九州 | Center for Contemporary Art Kitakyushu

マライケ・ファンヴァルメルダムの多くの美術作品を収蔵しています。マライケ・ファン・ヴァルメルダムは、リサーチ・プログラムの教授として２００５年１２月と１９９９年１１月にＣＣＡ北九州に滞在しました。| Various artworks by Marijke van Warmerdam. She stayed at the CCA on two occasions, in 1999 and 2005. Currently, she lives and works in Amsterdam.

オランダ王国杯 | Prince Willem-Alexander Cup

2000年以降、別府競輪はたまにオランダ王国皇太子杯を開催しています。これは、当時のオランダ王国特命全権大使ロバート・ファン・ナウハウス閣下と大分県知事の発案から実現したと伝えられています。| Since 2000, the cycling race track in Beppu sporadically holds a Prince Willem-Alexander cup. It is said to have been an initiative of former ambassador of the Netherlands, Robert van Nouhuys, and the governor of Oita prefecture.

デ・モーレン今金 | De Molen Imakane

風車の「デ・モーレン今金」は1993年に設置され、今金町のシンボルの一つとなっています。「デ・モーレン」は、当時のオランダ王国大使ローランド・ファン・デル・ベルグ（Roland van der Berg）閣下により命名されました。春には「デ・モーレン」の周囲にチューリップが咲き誇ります。旧今金駅前の通りは、オランダ通りと呼ばれています。| One of the Imakane Town's symbols is a windmill, 'De Molen Imakane'. It was built in 1993 and received its name from the then Ambassador of the Netherlands to Japan, Roland van der Berg. In the spring tulips are blooming around the windmillThe street in front of the former station is also known as the Dutch Street.

かみゆうべつチューリップ公園 | Kamiyubetsu Tulip Park

7ヘクタールの畑にオランダから直輸入した球根などを使い、120万本超のチューリップを植栽した公園です。園内にはチューリップの他にも、木靴、風車、ストリートオルガンがあります。毎年5月上旬～6月上旬にチューリップフェアが開催されます。| Tulip park of 7 hectares with over 1.2 million tulips and with Dutch influences. Besides the tulips, there are clogs, a windmill and a streetorgan. Every beginning of May till the beginning of June there is a Tulip Fair.

鏡石町 | Kagamiishi Town

鏡石町は文部省唱歌『牧場の朝』のモデルとなった牧場で有名な町です。鏡石町の牧場ではオランダから輸入されたホルスタイン牛が放牧されています。鏡石町とオランダ、ハウテンは学生交流事業を定期的に行っています。| Kagamiishi is famous for the song 'Makiba no asa', which is about grazing lands. On these grazing lands there is Holstein cattle, which was originally imported from the Netherlands.Kagamiishi Town and Houten have a regular student exchange program.

オランダ風車「デ・リーフデ」| Dutch Windmill ''De Liefde"

佐倉市制40周年を記念し、オランダ風車が佐倉ふるさと広場に誕生しました。この風車は1600年に日本に初めて来航したオランダ船リーフデ号にちなみ、「デ・リーフデ」と命名されました。「デ・リーフデ」は、地上にほぼ到達するほどの大きさの羽根を持つ、日本唯一のグランドセーラー型風車です。| In celebration of the Sakura's 40th anniversary a Dutch windmill was erected at Sakura Furusato Square. It was named ''De Liefde" after the first Dutch ship that arrived in Japan in 1600. The windmill is the only ground-sailer in Japan which means that the sails of the mill almost reach the ground."

あけぼの山農業公園 | Akebonoyama Agricultural Park

あけぼの山農業公園のシンボルは、オランダ風車です。毎年4月初旬には、風車の前にチューリップが咲き誇ります。 | Symbol of the Akebonoyama Agricultural Park is a Dutch-style windmill. Every year in the beginning of April, tulips bloom in front of the windmill.

スツーディオ・オオハウス | Studio O-huis

オランダ人彫刻家ケース・オゥェンスの彫刻庭園。日本での永住を決意した1996年にオープン。主要な活動は、造園及び彫刻と絵画の創作。オランダで造園と建築を勉強し、その後1982年から日本で制作を続けている。また、日本で芸術推進プログラムを立ち上げ、多くの芸術家や工芸家を招聘し、創作と展示の場を提供している。これにより、日本と海外を結ぶ芸術家たちの相互交流が生き生きと継続されている。| Sculpture-garden at the house of the sculptor Kees Ouwens, opened in 1996 when he decided to live and work permanently in Japan. His work consists of designing/constructing gardens and producing stone-sculptures and drawings. He studied landscape-architecture in the Netherlands and worked and studied in Japan since 1982. He also founded an art-initiative in Japan to invite fellow artists and craftsman to come over to produce work and have exhibitions, this to continue to keep these international relationships alive and to promote cultural exchange.

美かえる | Beautiful Frog

高さ10メートルにもなるカエルのオブジェ「美かえる」は、兵庫県立美術館の屋上に設置されています。兵庫県立美術館は1995年に発生した阪神大震災の被災地に建てられました。美術館のシンボルオブジェ「美かえる」はオランダのアーティスト、フロレンティン・ホフマンの作品で、三角帽子を被り、屋上の端っこに座っています。この作品には危険や自然災害時に柔軟でいること、また人生を謳歌してほしいとのメッセージが込められています。当初、美術館はホフマンに彼の代表作ラバーダックの制作を依頼しましたが、水鳥であるアヒルを建物の屋上に設置するのは相応しくないとの考えにより、ホフマンはラバーダックの制作依頼を断りました。 | The Kobe Frog is a 10 meter high sculpture on the roof of the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art. The museum site was struck by the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995. The frog wears a partyhat and symbolizes enjoying life and being flexible in times of natural disasters, danger and stress. The frog was made by Florentijn Hofman. Originally, the museum requested Hofman's famous rubber duck to be put on the roof. But the artist refused, since ducks are supposed to swim and should not be put on rooftops. He then created this frog statue instead.

運命の船 | Ships of Destiny

長崎県出島に据えられた石の彫刻。1999年に日本とオランダの友好関係樹立400年を祝しての記念の作品。この石は出島の歴史を物語っています。大きな玄武岩が三分割され、それぞれが出島の過去・現在・未来を表わしています。過去のパートでは、17世紀後半木造船が荒波の大海を航海する様子が表現され、現在のパートでは、出島を囲む穏やかな波を描き、未来のパートでは、未来の世界の岸辺に辿り着く船首が表されています。これら三つ異なる時代を連ねて表現することで、過去から現在そして未来への時間の流れは必然であり、その大きな時空間を漕いで渡る巨大な船として出島をイメージしたものです。| Commemorative sculpture placed at Dejima in 1999, celebrating the 400 year relationship between Japan-Netherlands. This stone symbolizes Dejima's history. Its three parts represent the past - present - future of Dejima. The “past” is shaped like the back of a 17th century wooden ship. The “present” symbolizes Dejima-island surrounded by waves, and the “future” is shaped like a wave hitting the shore with the bow of a ship at the end. Placing these parts together, it looks like a big ship that is traveling on the waves of time, representing our relationship from the past into the future.

日本コーフボール協会 | Japan Korfball Association

"コーフボールは、1902年オランダで誕生した男性と女性が平等且つ一緒にプレーする機会を持つように作られた世界唯一の男女混合チームスポーツです。 リング状のバスケットにボールをシュートして得点を競います。 こーふボールクラブ東京は、東京で唯一のコーフボールクラブとして毎週日曜日午後に練習を行なっています。| Korfball is a Dutch sport established in 1902 and is the only team sport where men and women play together. Teams can score points by throwing a ball in the 'korf', a basket. KC TOKYO is the only korfball club in Tokyo and practices every Sunday afternoon.

スペシャルクライフコート | Special Cruyff Court

2017年から開始したオランダ連携事業「Game Changerプロジェクト-パラスポーツで社会を変える-」が縁となり、 オランダの元サッカー選手ヨハン・クライフ氏が設立した「ヨハン・クライフ財団※」が世界各国に設置しているコートです。スペシャルクライフコートの設置はアジア圏では初めてとなります。| The Johan Cruyff Foundation, established by former Dutch soccer player Johan Cruyff, has set up these courts around the world as a through the "Game Changer Project - Changing Society through Para Sports", a project started in 2017 in collaboration with NOC*NSF. This is the first time that a Special Cruyff Court has been set up in Asia.
